EP.7 Urenna Okonkwo - Founder Of Cashmere
Welcome to the seventh episode of the Black Founders Series. Meet Urenna Okonkwo, the founder of Cashmere - a social savings and e-commerce platform which helps modern trend-focused millennials save towards and purchase luxury-fashion guilt-free and without having to dip into their personal savings.
She takes the hot seat today to talk about her entrepreneurial journey and the movements she supports before putting her multi-tasking, improv, and knowledge skills to the test.
Listen and find out how she did!
The Gameshow outline:
1. T-Rex Runner
Our guests test their multi-tasking skills answering questions whilst playing T-rex runner. The aim is to try and stay alive for a minute to get a total of 5 points per question. There are 3 questions. Our guests will gain a point every 12 seconds:
140 game pts (12 seconds) = 1 HOKH pts
280 game pts (24 seconds) = 2 HOKH pts
420 game pts (36 seconds) = 3 HOKH pts
560 game pts (48 seconds) = 4 HOKH pts
700 game pts (1minute) = 5 HOKH pts
Maximum = 15 HOKH pts
2. The presentation curated by HOKH
Our guests don’t have a single clue what they’ll be pitching, but it’s a fake startup idea curated by me. We’ll go through the problem, solution, and business model within a few slides. This will be a test of how well they can sell a product they know nothing about.
Take note: (when recording this podcast, our guest and I were both on camera allowing screen share).
They’ll be scored based on:
Confidence = /5 HOKH pts
Believability = /5 HOKH pts
Answering questions = /5 HOKH pts
Maximum = 15 HOKH pts
Urenna’s presentation:

They’ll be scored based on:
Delivery = /2 HOKH pts
Maximum = 2 HOKH pts
4. True or False
Our guests will have to answer 3 true or false questions about founders, personalities, net-worths and more.
Question 1 = 2 HOKH pts
Question 2 = 2 HOKH pts
Question 3 = 2 HOKH pts
