The Goals
BSC News is a functional platform that prides itself on clearly presented information that techy and non-techy can navigate, extract and learn more about certain areas of Blockchain and Crypto. This meant the approach to design had to be predominantly functional but visually appealing.
The BSC News team didn’t want to create a conventional ‘finance tech’ blog. They wanted to create something that embodied their ethos of playful, colourful, clean but more importantly, for the people.
Using examples of competitors during the research stages alongside non-industry-related publications we were able to establish a middle ground where BSC News would sit with its demographic of readers.
Mobile App
In order to capture concisely and intuitively what BSC News we’re aiming to achieve with their Mobile App, a completely different approach to the Web version of the product had to be taken.
As part of the research, a number of different apps were used to inspire creative decisions with how each page of the mobile product could be designed.
